Meet the Founders


  • Co-Founder

    Hilary has been a master educator, storyteller, and leadership coach from the time that she could talk, but professionally for over 20 years. Hilary is well-known for her vast knowledge of leadership literature, her boundless energy, and her unwavering honesty. She currently resides in California where she enjoys hiking and savoring red wine with her husband. Her three children bring her immense joy and fulfillment.


  • Co-Founder

    With over 23 years of experience in higher education, customer service, and training, Sonja Montiel is known for her ability to identify the root causes of challenges and develop customized action plans for long-term solutions. She is a Positive Intelligence mental fitness coach and also the Ambassador of Education for AwareNow Magazine. She serves on the board for PIHRA Ventura County and Conejo Schools Foundation, and is a committee member for PIHRA College Relations. Sonja is a member of the Western, National, and International Association for College Admission Counseling, supporting senior leadership and teams.
